Let's Play Every Game Boy Color Game, Early Alphabet Port to Blog 3
Part 3 of porting over the games I covered on Discord before this site existed.

AquaLife (Tamsoft, 1999)
An aquarium simulator with some tamagotchi elements.

Arle no Bouken: Mahou no Jewel (Compile, 2000)
I automatically have doubts about any game made by Compile, but this Puyo Puyo-themed adventure game seems pretty fun so far. It gets a list slot, and if nothing else I'll have a good soundtrack to listen to.

Armada: FX Racers (Metro3D, 2000)
A terrible racing game where the music is all random beeps, the only sound effects are horrible screeching noises when you turn, and the track is full of weird yellow tornadoes for some reason.

Armorines: Project S.W.A.R.M. (Neon Software/Acclaim Entertainment, 1999)
A crappy top down shooter that plays a lot like the Aliens game from yesterday, except you only get this lightning gun that doesn't kill enemies quickly enough to stop them from reaching you. Bad music, too.

Army Men (Digital Eclipse/3DO, 2000)
A top down shooter where everyone has loads of health. Bullets are much faster than you, so you're all but guaranteed to take some damage from each fight since it takes so long to kill the enemy. They also have a habit of blending in to parts of the very brown levels.

Army Men 2 (Digital Eclipse/3DO, 2000)
Unsurprisingly, very little changed in this game that came out all of eight months later. The environments are more detailed and enemies somehow have even more health, but otherwise it's identical.

Army Men: Air Combat (Fluid Studios/3DO, 2000)
This released on the same day as the game below in North America and the same day as the games above and below in Europe. They're all top down shooters where everyone has too much health and aiming is frustratingly difficult, but you get a helicopter in this one.

Army Men: Sarge's Heroes 2 (Game Brains/3DO, 2000)
It has three playable characters and shifts up the vehicle you're driving sometimes to make it seem like a different game. It isn't, though. This is the same thing for the fourth time in one year.

Arthur's Absolutely Fun Day! (Magnin & Associates/The Learning Company, 2000)
A collection of minigames Arthur has to beat to get theme park tickets. Some of them are quite boring, like this one about turning over pancakes at the right time.

Astérix: Search for Dogmatix (Rebellion/Infogrames, 2000)
Platformer based on the comic series. It has decent graphics and sound, but the platforming isn't quite there.

Astérix & Obelix (Bit Managers/Infogrames, 1999)
A basic GBC platformer based on the comic. Enemies have an annoying habit of parking themselves right beneath you when you're on a platform.

Astérix & Obélix vs. Caesar (Cryo Interactive, 2000)
Seems to be based on a live action movie based on the comic. It opens with a bunch of people throwing random crap at you from inside a brawl, and it's not fun at all.

Asteroids (Syrox Developments/Activision, 1999)
A decent remake of the arcade game that adds new hazards and a few different ship types.

Atlantis: The Lost Empire (Eurocom/THQ, 2001)
It's neat that the different characters all have their own abilities, but that can't save this game from bad level design and questionable platforming controls.

Austin Powers: Oh, Behave! and Welcome to My Underground Lair (Tarantula Studios/Rockstar Games, 2000)
Stupid fake PDA software that takes forever to get to the point and is then absolutely useless anyway. I actually made it to the real "game" in both of these before, but I'm not doing that again. Here are screenshots of the boot screens.
